First Cyclops Electronics office in Renfrew, Scotland
In 1990, with the vision and determination of founder Daniel Yodaiken, Cyclops Group was born, starting with Cyclops Electronics. The company quickly made its mark as a trusted partner in the dynamic and unpredictable electronic components industry.
Anchored in Renfrew, Scotland, the first office symbolised the beginning of a larger journey that would see the Cyclops Group expand globally. A photograph to the left showcases our humble beginnings.
First Lantek Corp office in Sparta, New Jersey, USA
In the early 1990s, Cyclops Electronics began a major expansion beyond its original base. In 1993, the company made a strategic move to its current headquarters in the historic city of York, England, marking the start of a new chapter.
Following this, the Cyclops Group sought to broaden its horizons even further by introducing its services to the American market. This ambitious venture led to the creation of Lantek Corp in 1994, a subsidiary dedicated to establishing the Group's presence in the United States. The first offices of Lantek Corp, a testament to the company's expanding footprint, are depicted to the left.
Construction of the current Cyclops Electronics head office in York, UK
1998 also marked the start of Trading Specialists, which has since evolved into Cyclops Excess. This innovative platform was introduced to address the industry's need for a reliable outlet for selling excess and obsolete electronic component stock, further establishing our role as a key player in the electronic components market.

In 2002, we introduced Global Supply Solutions (GSS) to streamline supply chain management.
The Cyclops Group's growth continued in 2004 extending our reach to Canada.
The year 2005 was notable for our expansion into Asia with a new office and purchasing team in Shenzhen, China, and strengthening our position in Europe with an additional office in Italy.

In 2022, we undertook a comprehensive brand refresh of the Cyclops Group, aimed at unifying the different divisions within the Group under one corporate identity.
Building upon its strategic expansion, The Group further solidified its presence in the European market through the integration of Halfin SA, based in Brussels, Belgium. Halfin Electronics now serves as a critical stockholding facility and distribution hub for the European market, enhancing the Group's ability to serve our customer based with global sourcing and local support.

Since its inception, Cyclops Electronics has been a consistent presence at Electronica, the world's leading trade fair and conference for electronics taking place every two years in Munich, Germany. This commitment to showcasing at Electronica underscores the company's dedication to staying at the forefront of industry developments, as well as its commitment to engaging with customers, partners, and industry peers.
The year 2022 marked a particularly standout moment for both the industry and Cyclops Electronics. It was the first Electronica gathering after the Covid-19 pandemic.
First Stop Safety head office in York, UK
In 2024, Cyclops Group expanded its capabilities and product offerings by acquiring Tele-products, a well-established provider of electronic testing solutions. This strategic acquisition includes First Stop Safety, a renowned brand in the industry specialising in high-quality electronic testing equipment.
With over three decades of experience in sourcing electronic components, the addition of Tele-products and First Stop Safety allows Cyclops Group to offer an even more comprehensive range of products and services, catering to the evolving needs of our customers.
